Below are photos of the game pieces from a British Monopoly game produced during World War II. Because of shortages of metal and other materials, there were some adaptions made. The dice were replaced with a cardboard spinner. The metal play pieces were replaced by cardbord lithographs in a wooden base. The money was printed on all white paper and different colored ink was used for different denominations. In addition, it appears the Title Deeds were seperated by perforations instead of being cleanly cut apart. Also, the box was about 2/3 as tall as the regular game boxes of the period. Finally, it appears the houses and hotels were rather quickly painted instead of being soaked in a colored dye.
